First and foremost shoes are the probably the most important thing to a teacher. I try to have a rotation between heels and flats to switch it up every few days. I FINALLY found a pair of Valentino dupes that are only $100! I've been dying for these shoes but can't justify the price, especially since kids tend to step on my feet or run them over with their desk chairs. Hashtag teacher problems.
I've been getting quite a few messages lately asking about teacher bags so I've rounded up my top three. The Tory Burch Perry tote is my number one pick because it holds everything and is made so well. If you need a more structured bag with pockets, the large York tote is great. If you are looking for a budget-friendly bag the BP Street Level tote is reversible, and perfect. I use my Louis Vuitton Neverfull that I've had for years.
I do all of my plans on the computer and I use Google Calendar but I know there are many people who use planners and date books. This one is such a happy and fun take on a planner! It can sit perfectly on your desk and isn't too big. I also keep some of my favorite beauty products on and in my desk to help me through my days. Hands of Hope saves my hands from all of the washing that I do. It doesn't feel greasy but keeps my hands super soft. I also love the Sugar Lip Treatment since my lips are often dry from talking and not drinking enough water. I do bring a glass water bottle every day but I struggle with drinking it all. I've been doing much better with this since I started adding this electrolyte powder though! (definitely get the raspberry) For a mid-day snack, RX Bars are my new favorite protein bar. They have more protein than others I've found and they taste AMAZING! (Maple Sea Salt is my favorite flavor!) They have no added sugar which makes them Paleo-friendly too.
Above all I can't stress the importance of balance. It's so important that we balance our lives as teachers to make sure we have enough to give each day. Meditation, hobbies, and sleep are so very important to being the best we can be each day.
