SIZING: some size up in the jacket but I stayed true to size.
So I left it behind.
Fast forward months later and this jacket is everywhere. It looks amazing on everyone and I wish it had felt that way on me. I'm not edgy enough to pull off a moto jacket... but I still wanted to. It's hard to define my style but it's soft and feminine, boho and casual. A moto jacket just didn't feel like my style.
Then I happened uponthis pin on Pinterest. Now this was a moto jacket I could wear. To my knowledge, this little jacket didn't come in any lighter colors except grey. I scoured the web, Pinterest and Instagram, but found nothing. I even asked the sales girls if they had heard of it coming out for Spring.
And then one one day it happened. I searched like I did so many times before and it was there. My jacket. In my color. Needless to say I bought it sight unseen and I am pretty sure I will not be taking it off until summer. The quality is incredible for the price. I've seen comparable jackets for twice as much.
I think it's easier to take risks when we stay true to some parts of our comfort zones. Try a new to you style, but do it in your color palette, or try a new color but in one of your favorite tops or silhouettes. Risking everything at once will leave you overhelmed and uncomfortable- neither of which I recommend, in fashion or in life.
So this jacket was definitely the fashion gods' present to me, one I will be wearing all season long.
