I did a few things to change the health of my hair.
1. I stopped shampooing everyday. This has made a huge difference in my hair's overall health. I never thought I was someone who could manage this but I found a way. Dry shampoo and putting less products (especially silicones) into my hair made it much easier not to wash it.
2. I use sulfate free shampoo when I do wash. The L'Oreal line of sulfate free shampoos are the best. They are inexpensive and there is a formula for everyone. Everstrong, Everpure... the list goes on. When I did my research, this line was considered the dupe for Pureology. Sounds good to me.
2. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask- This is one of the best moisture treatments I've ever used. When the results last through more than one wash, you know it's good. I use this on Friday nights and don't wash again until Monday night. It soaks into my hair and has brought it back to life. Important note: This conditioner is available at Ulta for about $30. Target sells it for $17.99.
3. Kerastase Ciment Thermique -This is my splurge. The holy grail of hair leave-in treatments. Every blog and beauty website says this cannot be duplicated. It's definitely expensive but since I wash my hair so infrequently, it lasts a very long time.
