But for us New York girls we have many tricks up our sleeves to manage the summer hair blues. It's far from a perfect science but our hair care often needs to shift the same way our skincare does. I have many products I love but there are some new ones I'm interested in taking for a test drive.
The winter has left me a bit flat-hair traumatized. Right now I'm looking for some super moisturizing products that will cut frizz but not body. I also need a great deal of TLC for my hair in summer since I have to be heavy-handed with the curling iron to keep my waves civilized.
Here are some items from my Summer Hair Wishlist.
2. It's a 10 Leave-In Light: I love my It's a 10 Leave-in but if I use too much of it, my hair gets weighed down. I'm dying to try the light version and summer might be a good time to give it a whirl.
3. John Frieda Luxurious Volume Mousse: I've heard this is one of the holy grails in the world of mousse. It's gotten great reviews overall and I'm interested to see how it holds up.
4. Argan Oil: I've turned into a bit of a hair oil snob. I'm particularly drawn to natural products that have pure ingredients. Why bother using an oil that is chock full of fillers? This argan oil got me through winter so I'm hoping using less will be all I need to adjust for the summer months.
5. Living Proof Satin Hair Serum: Since I stopped washing my hair every day I try to avoid products with silicone. This hair serum will hopefully eliminate my NY frizz while still allowing me to wash my hair less frequently.
